Jon Snow Lookalike Featured in NHS Flu Vaccination Campaign
As in each year at around this date, public health agencies are starting to remind the public the importance of getting their seasonal flu shot. This year, Swansea Bay University Health Board launched a flu vaccination campaign that put trust in the King of the North himself to deliver its message.
Coinciding with the release of the last season of Game of Thrones earlier this year, the Swansea Bay University Health Board chose our Jon Snow Lookalike to be featured in this year’s campaign to encourage adults over 65, children, pregnant women and adults with underlying health conditions to get vaccinated.
This year’s flu vaccination campaign took inspiration from the famous HBO TV show to encourage Welsh citizens to get vaccinated. Dressed in Jon Snow’s signature black attire, with scars on his face and the Iron Throne in the background, our lookalike stares straight into the camera before quoting the iconic line ‘Winter is Coming’, followed by a reminder of what this season brings with it and the importance of getting vaccinated.
Bearing an uncanny resemblance to the famous character, this Jon Snow lookalike filmed the flu vaccination campaign over the course of a day. On the second day of the event, our lookalike was also driven to various NHS sites in Swansea to meet members of staff bring the campaign into life and encourage everyone to get their shots.
