The Viennese Ball season is upon us yet again with Vienna hosting around 400 Viennese Balls every year. Starting on New Year’s Eve, the main Ball season lasts until February, with one or two stretching out until the summer. Offering everything from high profile traditional events with elegant dress codes, to modern disco balls and dance events of the local fire brigade, these elaborate festive balls take place in grand and select locations including, the Vienna Imperial Palace, the Vienna City Hall, the Vienna Musikverein and even the Vienna State Opera. Confectioners’ Ball - 15th January 2015
The stately atmosphere of the Imperial Palace provides the spectacular setting for many of the most traditional balls during Carnival in Vienna including the Confectioners’ Ball. One of the very last balls of the season, the Life Ball is a charity event visited by international stars from fashion to politics and organized by AIDS LIFE to support people diagnosed with HIV.
