Will Original Songs Work at My Event?
Breathing fresh air into urban pop music, Myth of Unity’s music showcases influences from the likes of Drake, Gwen Stefani, Craig David and Major Lazer – all artists that demonstrate a timeless ability to captivate music lovers worldwide.
Describing their sound as ‘fresh, catchy and energetic’, their originals would not sound out of place in a top 40 charts round up, which is a testament to the fact that they get ‘great reactions no matter what the event’. There’s no doubt that their originals bring a fresh edge to events that will leave audiences buzzing.
‘We try to read the crowd and judge what they want, our cover versions of songs are a great way to grab the audience’s attention, then we slip in an original. There is no better feeling than performing your own music and seeing people jumping and singing along to something you’ve spent hours writing and testing in clubs.’
Hugely popular with private parties, celebrations and festivals they recently performed a festival set comprised of just originals and ‘the reaction was amazing, we had so many people asking where they can download our songs’.
So to answer the question, will having an original band at your event still get your guests on the dance floor? The simple answer is yes!
Meet Myth of Unity
Myth of Unity have been writing their own material as a group for nearly four years now, combining all their individual influences and ideas to create amazing music that has gained them a huge online following and ensures packed dance floors at their shows.
We asked them to tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind their new single:
‘We had a gig in Amsterdam last summer, which was great, and we were just feeling all the summer vibes, and when we went back to the studio we wrote ‘Hello’. It was probably one of the quickest songs that we’ve ever written.’
Not just talented musicians and songwriters, the band also film and produce all of their own videos, including the one for their debut single ‘Hello’.
‘Our latest video was so much fun to film. The song has a summer, feel-good vibe and we live by the beach, so where better to film it than our hometown of Blackpool! We just went out and had fun with it. The video also features an awesome Ford Mustang and some really cool graffiti!’
